2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

“RELIGION AND SOCIAL PROCESSES IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE”, 2nd international Conference organized by Faculty for Diplomacy and Security of  (FDB), Belgrade, Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad, Institute for Geopolitical Studies of the University of Aurel Vlaicu (IGS-UAV), Arad, Romania and the European Research Institute for Strategic Studies (ERISS), Ljubljana, will be held at the Amphitheatre of the Faculty for Diplomacy and Security  (FDB), Belgrade, on  24th November 2023. Prominent experts from southeast European countries, covering different fields, such as religion, law, political science, sociology, philosophy, history, will present their views on current religion and social processes, as well as the legal position of institutions of various religious denominations and communities in southeast Europe.

The conference is essentially structured into three thematic parts – (1) religion, society, and tolerance, (2) religion and politics and (3) legal position of religion in Southeast Europe.
At the end of each part, there will be a short discussion, where the presentations will be analysed and commented on.

In addition to the speakers, representatives of religious communities, representatives of the diplomatic representations of Southeast European countries in Belgrade, young researchers of the subject area and other prominent figures from academic, cultural, and political life will attend the conference.
